The doors are always open and a lot of interesting people pass through. Some for a day or two, some for a week and some until it's time for an other adventure.
The first ever meeting of The Future Bird Watchers Of America was held this afternoon. Maryjo lead the group discussion on the mating and feeding habits of various local birds. During the meeting Maryjo gave each participant a lesson in binocular usage and bird sound tracking.
These pictures say it all. I've eaten Nanuet Pizza since I was a little kid. Back in the day before they moved to this location my father would take me on a cold winters night to pick up a few pies. On the ride home he would place the pies on a blanket and then put them on my lap to keep me warm. Back then there were only two kinds of pizza made, Cheese and what was called a Special. The Special is stilled made but only a hand full of people know its proper name. The special is a tomato, cheese and ground sausage pizza that still tastes exactly as it did when I was a kid. As with any Pizza it always tastes much better when eaten right out of the oven at the restaurant.
Martin has come all the way from Spain to spend part of his summer vacation in the good old USA. After his long trip from his home he was whisked away for two (2) weeks of summer camp with his cousin Colin and has finally arrived at our home for much needed rest and relaxation.
July has a few birthdays, Today we celebrated Nellie, Matt and Kateris. Matt had the BBQ in full swing cooking a few Flank Steaks, Chicken breasts and thighs, Maryjo came in with her famous Cole slaw and Kim tossed a bunch of neat stuff together for the fresh salad. Uncle Syd provided a nice iced cooler full of assorted drinks. The day was topped off with a very nice Carvel Ice Cream Cake followed by a round of HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

Aunt Meg lives in cranberry bog country up Cape Cod way. Up there when a girl meets some guy the girls break out the Brown Jug and Washboard and have a hoe down a regular HEE HAW. Well Birdie has meet some guy and Aunt Meg broke out one of her BROWN JUGS to celebrate. After the jug was empty and a few Mikes hard lemonades were consumed the jug band started playing. Birdie heard what was going on and left the boy down at the corner.
