Melanie scurried the county looking for day hands but none were to be found. After an hour or two of frustration she picked a James Dean type a "real dude". She picked this guy up on a front porch and promised him a hot meal and a shower at the end of the day. All he requested was a smoke or two and be allowed to drive the truck.

Nice. We've been "renovating" a 1930's home, the money pit - your place looks much neater and tidy.
Besides an hourly wage, our "handymen" have come to love my "soup of the day".
